About Abe Portillo
With over a decade in the film industry, my journey began as a 1st AC and DIT, roles that built the foundation for my passion for cinematography. Through years of hard work and a constant drive to grow, I've had the opportunity to transition into the role of Director of Photography.
While much of my experience has been working with leading automotive brands, I've also had the chance to shoot a wide range of projects, including commercials, music videos, documentaries, and narrative films. Each project has been an opportunity to explore lighting, framing, and composition while finding the best visual approach for the story.
My passion is creating images that help tell compelling stories. I believe filmmaking is a balance of technical skill and creativity, and I strive to bring both to every project I take on.
As I continue to grow in my career, I look forward to collaborating with talented creatives, taking on new challenges, and bringing meaningful stories to life.
